Clare, Limerick and Tipperary County Council Arts Offices are proud to present a talk on artists and schools.
A presentation lead by Fiona Byrne and discussion moderated by Emer Ferran Artist in schools programmes the aims, objectives and benefits to both the artist and schools. How to apply for artists in schools programmes.
This will be of interest to any artist wishing to apply for such an opportunity.
Fiona Byrne (phd) is an educator and facilitator who creates participant-centered, engaging experiences to promote an understanding of creative practice, with a focus on visual literacy and tacit knowledge. She has worked a wealth of experience working with schools both in her roles as the Education Curator at the Hunt Museum and Education Manager at the Design and Craft Council of Ireland, as well as working as an independent artist delivering workshops for teachers and students with Junior Cycle for Teachers (JCT), Oide, Narrative4 and the World Within Walls project.
